THE BUSINESSES I RECOMMEND IN 2026

 

I have recently compiled a list of tried and tested internet-based businesses (or if you like, side hustles) that are currently doing great in 2026. It is not a bad idea at all to seek a second opinion before patronizing them but I must confess to you, these platforms currently enjoy good ratings from their subscribers. I have done my due diligence and if you don't mind, you can take your time to do a thorough research about them before investing your time/money into them. While some of them require initial financial commitment, some only require your time.  From time to time, I shall be updating these businesses based on customers' ratings and reviews. 1. The Pi Network 

The Pi Network - Bitcoin was the first to show how cryptocurrency could disrupt the current financial model, giving people the ability to make transactions without having a third party in the way. The increase in freedom, flexibility, and privacy continues to drive the inevitable march toward digital currencies as a new norm. Despite its benefits, Bitcoin’s (likely unintended) concentration of money and power present a meaningful barrier to mainstream adoption. As Pi’s core team has conducted research to try to understand why people are reluctant to enter the cryptocurrency space. People consistently cited the risk of investing/mining as a key barrier to entry.

After identifying these key barriers to adoption, the Pi Core Team set out to find a way that would allow everyday people to mine (or earn cryptocurrency rewards for validating transactions on a distributed record of transactions). As a refresher, one of the major challenges that arises with maintaining a distributed record of transactions is ensuring that updates to this open record are not fraudulent. While Bitcoin’s process for updating its record is proven (burning energy / money to prove trustworthiness), it is not very user-(or planet-) friendly. For Pi, they introduced the additional design requirement of employing a consensus algorithm that would also be extremely user-friendly and ideally enable mining not only on personal computers but on mobile phones as well.

As of February 2025, Pi Network (PI) has officially launched its mainnet and is listed on several major exchanges, including Coinbase, making it visible on CoinMarketCap. Pi's mission is to build a cryptocurrency and smart contracts platform secured and operated by everyday people while it's vision is to build the world’s most inclusive peer-to-peer ecosystem and online experience, fueled by Pi, the world’s most widely used cryptocurrency. Going by their mission and vision above and  notwithstanding it's official launch and listing,  Pi has no immediate plans to stop the mining activities. In other words, Pi's pioneers and new members can still mine on the network and make good money without spending a dime.
